Markus Helfert

Brief Bio
Markus Helfert is a Professor at Maynooth University, Innovation Value Institute (Ireland) and the Director of the Business Informatics Group at Maynooth University. He is a Principle Investigator at Lero – The Irish Software Research Centre and at the Adapt Research Centre. His research is centred on Digital Service Innovation, Smart Cities and IoT based Smart Environments and includes research areas such as Service Innovation, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Smart Services, Building Information Management, FinTech, Data Value, Enterprise Architecture, Technology Adoption, Analytics, Business Process Managem ent. Prof. Helfert is an expert in Data Governance Standards and is involved in European Standardisation initiatives. He advises small and medium sized Enterprise in relation to Innovation and IT Management. Helfert has received national and international grants from agencies such as European Union (FP7; H2020), Science Foundation Ireland and Enterprise Ireland, was project coordinator on EU projects, and is the Project coordinator of the H2020 Projects: PERFORM on Digital Retail. ... Brief Bio
Karl-Heinz Krempels studied computer science at RWTH Aachen University. He received a doctoral degree (2009) in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University for works on Agent-based Scheduling and Timetabling. He worked as research associate in several national and international projects on knowledge-based planning, agent technology, timetabling, health care, human-computer interaction. He joined to the Database and Information Systems Group at RWTH Aachen University as Postdoc in summer 2010 and is continuing his research on timetabling, intelligent distribued systems, mobility information systems, and mobile na vigation systems. Brief Bio
Brian Donnellan is Vice President and Professor of Information Systems Innovation at Maynooth University. He is also Co-Director of the Innovation Value Institute. Prior to joining NUIM he was a faculty member in the Cairnes Postgraduate School of Business and Public Policy in the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG). His teaching and research interests lie primarily in the area of innovation systems, which encompasses innovation, new product development, Sustainable ICT and IT management. Prior to joining NUI Galway faculty in 2004 he spent 19 years working in industry.
